I see signs of "double struck" on obv liberty face and I (In) motto also the globe of the sun has a halo ring around it.. any comments? the fields are showing flow lines and the coin looks exceptional! (just some minor contact on obv left forearm and front of dress areas) best of luck with TPG!

if you were just grading the fields, I would be inclined to go as high as a 67, but the hairlines on the details (and there are only a few of those) would bring it down to a 65. should get a PQ designation, though. Super coin!

The mark on the face of the sun. Is that there in reality? Almost looks like a die crack.
Beautiful coin.
My favourite US one.

Oh, that's not a scratch on the sun? Cool...
I predict a 65.

The 42-S is one of the bad strike San Francisco Walkers. The obverse strike is notoriously weak and according to Ambio's guide, the grading services take poor strike into account with the 42-S. I still think this is a 65 because of the marks on Liberty's left (leading) leg and a larger mark on the flag just above the sun rays. Great look --let us know how it turns out.

It is still a nice coin, Dewayne.
What grade did you expect, and what did you hope for?

PCGS MS-64
Those spineless, incompetent hackers have done you a royal disservice. Yes, in 64 it's an $80 coin and in 65 it's a $400 coin, but for them not to call this 65 is a travesty of the highest order. I could see them being leery of creating the $kilocoin which is a 66, but for this coin not to make 65 seriously lowers my opinion of PCGS. Those cretins. Here are the last two PCGS 65's auctioned at Heritage. Tell me how the coin in question lags behind them.

Dave, I'm still happy because I got a 65 on my 34P and and 64 on my 35P. I paid $80 for the 34P & 35P on ebay. The 34 will pay the submission fees so all is good. You win some lose some...
