Would be funny if NGC and PCGS decide to start "stickering" CAC graded coins. Blue scale sticker from NGS and gold shield sticker from PCGS?

They should offer to re-holder the coins they've stickered in the past for free, or maybe for a small fee, with the 'Correct' grade as they see it in their slab. Then they would have some of the best coins in numismatics in CAC slabs very quickly.
I find the CAC sticker idea interesting, but I've never had a coin with enough value to use the service.
ANA ID: 3203813 - CONECA ID: N-5637 Clean a coin that may be worth collecting? Please DON'T! When in doubt, leave it dirty!!

A few thoughts: 1. I hope it helps with the apparent grading backlog 2. Will CAC stickered coins be collected like old rattler holders? 3. I hope they do not ever get in the modern or world coin game. I like that they focus on older US coins. 4. I welcome the competition 5. Not that I get many coins graded, I wish I had signed up for CAC

This is a complete change of business model for them, which is really interesting. I am curious how their grading will work. Are they going to only try to have top end coins in each grade (very conservative grading)? I.E. If PCGS/NGC call a coin MS-64, but that coin wouldn't have received green bean from CAC, do they grade it a MS-63?
This change will definitely leave open an opportunity for another company to take over where CAC is leaving off with stickering coins.

New slab revealed!
EDIT: There was an issue with the released photos. CAC has taken them down so I will do the same here.

Quote: New slab revealed! In reading the CAC forum posts and FAQs, I found it interesting how they'll be handling crossovers of NGC and PCGS coins which currently have a green bean - they'll be putting a "legacy" green been sticker on the reverse label inside their new slabs. It sounds like they won't be doing that with the gold stickers, however. See questions #10 and #15 of the FAQ for more info: https://www.caccoin.com/forums/disc...ons-answered

Makes me think gold beans may command higher premiums in the future unless cac automatically upgraded them.

Thank you for sharing the link. Quote: Makes me think gold beans may command higher premiums in the future unless cac automatically upgraded them. I believe they would have to, since the original intent of the gold bean was to signal it should be resubmitted for a higher grade. (see #15 in the FAQ).

I wonder how easy they will be to crack open? Many of us EAC/Colonial collectors are not fans of the slabbed coffins.
