Wow I think all of your coins were graded a grade low. Pretty conservative grader unfortunately.

I was expecting at least one grade higher on most, if not all of the coins. Guess they graded them on a Monday

In the future do not say what you think it grades in your initial post. That no doubt skews everything and is not acceptable at any TPG.

In your first post, it is bad form to tell the community what you believe it grades. This no doubt skews everything. When the professional graders are grading at a TPG, this is not acceptable for the 1st grader to tell the second grader what they think it grades. As a courtesy, the OP typically does not do that.

Good thing we are not TPG graders then I'm allowed to state what I personally think it is. People have photos and eyes to judge the coin from. They are capable of grading and my opinion should have no effect on their thoughts.

Without a doubt it effects people's thoughts, you have the coin in hand. Whether you want to believe me or not, it is bad form to say what you think it grades before asking everyone else. Take your ball and go home because you have that choice, but there are unwritten rules here if you want more accurate results.

Take your ball and go home because you have that choice, but there are unwritten rules here if you want more accurate results. It's a raw coin. OP is more than welcome to post what they think it will grade and then ask us if we agree or disagree with their assessment. That is how people learn and improve. I and many others here have done so on many occasions -- mainly to see if my own grade assessment of a new purchase matches what everyone else thinks. This helps me "fine tune" my grading skills -- if I think a coin looks like an AU53, but everyone in CCF tells me it's a VF35, or vice versa, then I can ask "why?" and learn what others may see that I have missed. I've only been a regular poster here for the last 8 years so I don't know how things worked before that, but it's been that way at least that long. If this had been a slabbed coin in the original post, I'd agree that posting what you think it graded may lead to bias, but this was not a slabbed coin.

There's a reason why 99 percent of people don't do that.
At a coin show, club or LCS no one is handing another dealer a coin and telling them what they think it grades first, that's basic principle.
I know this because it is bad form and I've watched everyone wait and then proceed to talk about it.
Take my advice and get upset, but it's known throughout our hobby this is not advised.
Yes, with a raw coin.

First of all, it is the OP's thread and not yours. He can post a GTG however he wants. He does not have to take suggestions from people. Whether or not it skews data is his problem and not yours. Second, many people here are not sufficient at determining strike weakness vs wear, so stating a grade can help guide people who are viewing the coin from only a few photos. After all, the OP has the coin in hand and we do not. Quote: I know this because it is bad form and I've watched everyone wait and then proceed to talk about it.
Take my advice and get upset, but it's known throughout our hobby this is not advised I've never heard of this "bad form". If a dealer hands me a raw coin and says "It is XF" I could not care less. You should not get upset if someone states their opinion of a grade.

Nice coin at the grade. Not much difference in value between VF35 and XF40. CAC worthy ? No problem at all in giving your opinion on what you think the grade is. I like someone who steps up to the plate and gives their opinion on their coin rather than play Monday morning quarterback after the grade comes back from PCGS. Thank you for posting your coins. I could not agree more with jacrispies. NumismaticsFTW posts are totally irrelevant and puzzling to say the least.

I think this was market graded. Details are better than VF but there are a lot of marks at her neck / jawline that I thought could detail the coin.
