Yes, released into circulation. I have 27 in 2x2s, all but 3 acquired in quarter rolls--Loomis wrapped and customer wrapped. The three were found in change. Picked one up just a month ago in change--MS60-61 condition.

I found 2 while in Texas. One from a laundromat and the other from a car wash. So, you never know where you will run across one.

I found the weir Farm 2020 V75 a few months ago, that had to come back as change, deep into redneck occupied central Louisiana!! If weren't for the V75 symbol, I was about 5 seconds from putting it back into circulation!! So now I quit spending any change, I don't care if my total is $20.01, I'm gonna go ahead and need that 99 cents back

there were only 10 million 'W' Mint quarters minted for each year. (2 Million of each of the 5 designs for each year) - all were released into the wild randomly, starting the 'Great Quarter Hunt' of 2019 and 2020.

I have only 2 of each one (20 quarters), 1 one of each design I placed into my Dansco album, and 1 of each design into a special clam-shell box to keep them for display.

I would like to know what the survival rate of these quarters are(is).

Getting very scarce to find now so I anticipate future value increases as less are found in high conditions, and was difficult to find even when released and checking change regularly. US Mint officials at the West Point Mint in New York struck 2 million of each America the Beautiful Quarter design (5 of them) for 2019, a total of 10 million 2019-W quarters. Same with 2020 -The 2020-W quarters also were being released from the West Point Mint and can be found only in circulation! (Yes in your everyday pocket change.). https://coins.thefuntimesguide.com/...-w-quarters/ While 2 million specimens of each America the Beautiful Quarter may sound like a lot, consider this: the mintage of 2 million for each type of 2019-W quarter for example is the lowest for any regular-strike circulating quarter since the 1937-S Washington quarters (made just 1,652,000 pieces).

They are released into circulation, I found a few of them roll hunting recently.
Few boxes of quarters later, you should get them all.

to the Community!

See if your bank will sell you a 500$ box of quarters and start looking there. It takes just a few hours to go thru a box.

My daughter and I spent many afternoons and evenings during the pandemic in 2019 and 2020 going thru boxes of quarters and pulling out the W's. All in all we pulled out over 400 coins.

The W's still turn up in pocket change too, as I've gotten two of them this year.

You just have to be patient and persistent in your search. Do not be discouraged. Good luck!

If you are wanting to find them in change or by coin-roll hunting, good luck.

However, If you are willing to swap some of your spare collectable coins for them, I suggest logging on to Numista.com and find a collector willing to trade them with you. I am sure that many of the members there are offering them up for trade. (including me)

It swill be interesting to see how worn these coins are in 20 years. Before 1999 almost anything could circulate because people didn't watch their pocket change but since that time more and more people are looking and some know which ones are scarcer. Tens of thousands of collectors are looking for the W quarters and most have already been found but I'm guessing it will take several years before they all are. During this whole time some will end up right back in circulation because heirs and others simply don't know there's something different. Even coin dealers usually don't pay much mind to clad.

I'm figuring about a third will be Unc. half will be AU and the rest will range mostly from VF to XF.

I suspect there are a lot of S mint circulation strikes circulating as well.
Time don't fly, it bounds and leaps.

I've been searching quarter rolls since these came out in 2019. I've found at least 40 of them the past 4 years. At least one of each type, too. They are scarce and are becoming more scarce each year.

Saw an example of this the other day. Seller offered the dealer around 10 W quarters. Dealer wouldn't even make an offer or even ask the guy what he wanted for them. The dealer showed ZERO interest.

The dealer asked me if I knew anybody that buys them and I said "I'll buy them if the price is right." He said "y'all are welcome to work your deal". The seller said he pulled them from circulation and all he had in them was a quarter. I offered him 4$ a piece for them. Most were Tall Grass Prairie and Marsh Billings Rockefeller. A couple were American Memorial Parks.

I'll buy em all day long like that!
