The correct answer is: AU58 with CAC approval The obverse looks like it might have slid in a drawer or lightly circulated a long time ago, resulting luster break yet the surface is fresh. The reverse looks fantastic (could fit into MS scale) with full detail and I cannot even detect any wear on the reverse. Please comment if you detect something that I miss. I'm here to learn. I think this one looks more eye appealing than those from recent comps and online auctions, even in MS-62 range right now. Is grading inflating right now? I don't regret when paying a premium for this accurately graded AU-58 blazer. Do you agree with my opinion? Did the result make you surprised? Could it fit into the imaginary AU-63, AU-64 category? kbbpll Pillar of the Community United States 4233 Posts	Posted 01/28/2023 11:16 am I have a very similar 1900-S 25c in AU58 with luster break in right obverse field, no obvious wear otherwise, minor scratches, perfect reverse. I think it's the luster break that gets you AU. I'll take one of these over a beat up MS62 any day. Nice coin. Report this Post to the Staff
