I'll say that PCGS graded it XF-40. I would personally put it at XF-45 if I were grading it.

This one was PCGS XF-40. That is what I was expecting. I thought it may have a chance at 45, but so be it.

I'd say you got lucky with that grade from PCGS! The TPGs tremendously net grade a weak strike or mistake it for wear quite often. I would not be surprised to see it in a VF-25 holder. Glad to see they got it right this time.

I am ok with mine being graded XF-40. That said I'll take mine all day over this one that sold yesterday at Stacks as XF-45. Maybe its ownership favoritism, but mine has the same detail and much better look, lacking the scratches too! https://auctions.stacksbowers.com/l...e-ef-45-PCGS.
