Every time I look at this coin I see something new, so cooool! Do you have any pix from the side, how thin is it? Love the Buffalo series. Thanks for sharing

Thanks everyone, felt lucky to come across this one. John1, no problem, actually another interesting part of the story, got it on ebay, was a 7-day auction but to my surprise I was the only bidder in the end, so I got for opening bid $10 + S&H https://www.ebay.com/itm/155439845617Jadenusa, didn't think of getting a side shot of the thickness difference next to a typical strike but can do that tonight and post, thanks. |

Well now that was a bargain, and lucky for you none of us found that auction or I'm sure you may have had to pay quite a bit more. Nice pick for your collection.

John1, I think eventually I will get it slabbed but not right now, just enjoying the differences after seeing so many regular struck Buffalo nickelsWestcoin and Ty2020b, thanks, yes I really expected more competition on this one, not sure how it snuck under the radar but no complaints  Spence, thanks, I agree about the patina on this one a nice added bonus |

Jadenusa got a side shot of the broadstrike (left) vs. regular struck (right) Buffalo nickel, best guess the broadstrike is about 20-25% thinner  |

I did not ask if you were going to get it "slabbed" I just said that it is Air-Tite capsule worthy which is a brand name of a plastic coin holder. Slabbing it by anacs might be a good idea at some point though. John1 |
