You're in Morgan Country here! Get yourself a 10X loupe or 2 and always, always take it with you if you shop at a local dealer. This is so that you can look closely at each coin that you're interesting in. Great choice in collecting George Morgan's! Edited by dsking

Another Morgan guy. I wouldn't submit anything for grading until you're sure you have one worth grading. It's pretty expensive. I see a lot of $50 to $100 Morgan's graded that are probably better left raw. The grading services are inconsistent and in 10 years will likely be a completely different standard. I'm buying what I like and will grade or regrade when I think computer/optic grading is fair and consistent. It's not there yet and I'm not sure I'll live long enough to see it.

One of the coins in his collection is a 1793-s I bought a scale, I'm getting this number 23.24g Dia 38.10, the coin does have wear on it . Does this sound right

Welcome. I have had alot of good help and info given on here about my morgans that I have. If your looking to buy, I'm not sure how good or not that is here but def helpful as a collector who is new or an avid collector.
