Quote: This lovely beauty arrived today! Great to see the photo of the clock arrived safe jbuck. Some backstory - When I was a child living in Japan and Taiwan my father served as an enlisted soldier in the Air Force. When he came home the chevrons of enlisted rank on his duty sleeves obviously made an impression on my young brain - and today that clock design is known as the 'Sergeant of Time'. Over the years I've made less than 20 of the large Sergeant of Time clocks such as you have - so hang onto it and if you read someday about this famous woodworker who passed -well maybe it might be worth something. Quote: Can't wait for 20,000 posts. Indeed - and I hope to see all of you at the next contest whenever that milestone occurs.

A wonderful backstory! Quote: Over the years I've made less than 20 of the large Sergeant of Time clocks such as you have - so hang onto it and if you read someday about this famous woodworker who passed -well maybe it might be worth something. It is already priceless to me.

My box arrived safely and was unwrapped... the packaging itself was a work of art. I have half a dozen ebay sellers I need you to run courses for. The box is exquisite. The woods are beautiful and the workmanship is impeccable. Now all that I need are a couple of raw $20 gold pieces or 8 Escudos to store in it. Thank you again! -----Burton

Pleased that the little box made it home safely BStrauss3. Thanks for posting the update. Quote: Now all that I need are a couple of raw $20 gold pieces or 8 Escudos to store in it. Best of wishes for that - it would indeed be worthy of a photo! Now we need both little clocks to make it home and we can put a wrap on this contest.

Quote: I received my clock on Monday. Good to know @jason39305. Thanks for checking in. I'm pleased that it suits you. Yours is a smaller version of the Big Brother that jbuck won as a main event prize and shares the same backstory as a 'Sergeant of Time' design. Down to 1 final clock needing to make it home.
