Sure seems to be a counterfeit example. How did you acquire it?

Who the heck would spend their time counterfeiting a quarter. I know Mr Henning is still around.

Although it is a fake, I think it is cool and worthy of a 2x2. JUST DON'T SELL IT!

I have two counterfeit Washington quarters. One is not bad, but the other has broken in half. Evidently there was enough economic incentive for people to fake them.

The inner surfaces of the break have a pebbled texture. It's not lead, so must be some sort of pot metal. 4.62 g.

Coins that go 'thud' when dropped... Now that's a sign.

A quarter would have bought a nice meal back then.
