Hmm yes that doesn't look so good for getting this resolved. Fortunately it is small money and therefor a cheap lesson to be learning. I've probably bought from them a couple dozen times in the past and by far this is the least customer friendly experience I've had from all of them.

As I'm sure you already know, if you put the purchase on your credit card, you can always deny payment of the items not received.

Yes great point @trav, but I paid with a check on this one.

Alfred's intentions are good but I think he sometimes ends up with more on his plate than he can handle. I suggest patience.

Patience and persistence are starting to produce dividends as I now have a working phone number for Alfred and he has at least returned one of my emails. Fingers crossed for a successful resolution to this issue.

More patience and consideration than he deserves. It's been what? Four months now?! You're such a kind man, Dave.

I am very happy to report that I now have all of the items that I won back in April. Whew!

I'm not part of the Amazon gimmie-my-order-in-24-hours-or-else generation, but 5+ months seems a bit excessive to me. What matters is that you got everything, though. :)

Well I've sat out the past couple of their auctions and will continue to do this for at least a while. I think that @kush's words upthread were exactly correct: Quote: Alfred's intentions are good but I think he sometimes ends up with more on his plate than he can handle. I've been shifting a bit to the auctions of SARC and Elsen over the past couple years and guess that I'll continue that trend.

I had consignments that sold in 2 Agora auctions early 2022, and I've never been paid. After several emails, Alfredo called, said he'd had health problems, almost died, but they now thought it was something else, still serious. Said he would get a check out after the next auction. I know there have been at least 1 or 2 more auctions since we talked, but he has never paid for my consignments that sold, and he has never returned the unsold coins. It's been over a year, and I don't expect him to pay.
Whatever the reason, health or otherwise, I would not send him any coins or any money.
Before these consignments, I had bid and won in many of their auctions, and only had trouble once, and that was worked out.
