i know how bad that gets, Dearborn, I was lamenting about mine on the 'post your found money' thread this past week; I spent 24 hrs with displaced vertebrae, I was able to pop it back into place rather quickly, then spent the next couple days on limited duty, staying home most of the time, stretching & icing, etc... now am up & at 'em again.. I never stopped with 'up & at 'em', the back problem only slows me greatly, but doesn't stop me.. anyway, I feel for ya, nagging back things & pains down the legs are an absolute drag.. speedy recovery to you.. dunno bout you, but I sometimes dig out the shiny when my back has me wiped out, it cheers me up & urges me onward.. here's a get well wish that's a toy for the eyes & spirit time to play   |

Just read your post sorry to hear what is happening to you.
As far as the BP there is a thing called White Coat Syndrome that when you go see a Dr. and they take your BP right away and it's high.

Sorry that you are having back issues. Dont worry, at the rate things are going when you get your robotic body in the future like General Grievous from star wars, looking through your loupe while holding up to 4 of your favorite silver eagles at the same time will be a piece of cake! You can possibly try palmitoylethanolamide (pain and inflammation) or nattokinase (blood pressure and inflammation). Palmitoylethanolamide was used successfully for chronic and neuropathic pain and inflammation, as demonstrated in clinical trials. In My Experiences, Any Kind of Legally Prescribed from a Doctor, Or The Local Streets, Taking Very Powerful Opiods for Very long times CAN AND DOES cause Terrible Unforeseen and Unimaginable and Sometimes Irreparable Damage(s)......

@morgans dad.... Yes, opioids are extremely effective at making one believe they have no pain whatsoever, albeit for about 90 minutes or so. Back in the 90's, they used to prescribe me Darvocet & Hydro's by the 90-count, but luckily for me.... I saw the epidemic unfolding & chose only to utilize the strong stuff for emergency purposes only. My go-to pain remedy nowadays is The Macallan 12 year Sherry Oak Cask or a good sipping Tequila, in moderation of course.

Me? I don't take ANY pain meds at all with the exception of Tylenol for pain - even when I impaled my hand with a super sharp drywall saw (keyhole saw).
The Doctors always prescribe me the meds, but I don't use them, and if they mail me the meds, I being them back - unopened.

Aspirin - for 35 years I have taken aspirin for my back pain. With age it works better. Luckily I have a caste iron stomach.

Can't use aspirin for me - or any ansaids - they cause me to bleed more easily (nose bleeds)

well, just checked my BP today - it was 107 over 70 and a heart rate of 65 (not too bad for a 61 year old). so all is good in that area. Now if I can just get my back replaced, I'd be in great condition.
