Absolutely gorgeous coin Put me in at an AU-55ish to my eyes

I on the side don't notice any of the overdates per coinsandcanada unless I'm not looking hard enough...

The reverse shows such an absence of wear I'll give it AU50 overall.

Hard to tell how much surface lustre there is - that's a key feature for the assignment of AU in my view. Certainly there's enough detail to make that grade...

AU all day. Strike and wear allow detail in the top lock of hair.

If that coin was being sold as an au50 or au55, I wouldn't go near it.

@doubleeagle59 - what's your rationale for that call? I think there's a question about the surfaces...I would expect some frost for an AU. But the detail is there for sure.

With the visible wear on the Obv, I'd say XF+ tops.

While I think I would have landed on AU for the technical grade based purely on wear, to me it looks dull and lifeless and I think it would have been kicked down to EF by ICCS for lack of any lustre at all potentially. It looks like pewter. Maybe that's just the pictures though. If it has some lustre then I think AU is fair.

I'm with @Leveril on this call. That image also highlights a little surface wear across Victoria's left cheek.

Yup....NGC au 53 (I thought perhaps NGC would have gone higher).

ICCS ef 45 tops.
