The word for this is Pareidolia. The same reason people see faces on gnarled tree stumps or Jesus on their burnt grilled cheese sandwiches.

Hi, That is a 1963 D WDDO 001 stage C, Great find. I think my father discovered that error coin.

I don't see anything that matches WDDO-001. The MM is right of where it should be and what you think is the middle of the misplaced 3 is in the wrong spot. Pareidolia.

No doubling at all. No where near 001. And as stated above no D mm in the date.
