Now, does that mean the label is fake (which the concensus here is that it is) or is the coin fake?

The entire thing is fake. Slab, label, coin... everything. They've been doing this for many years.

I'm assuming the whole thing is fake..I could break it out weigh it and get it tested..if it wasn't fake why do it?

The coin is 100% fake too. Just look at the top of the 6 in relation to the rays.

Sorry you got taken. Those who did the estate sale may have thought it was legit. A lesson for us all.

Or was it really an "Estate Sale"? Who was representing the sale of the Estate?

ok, Thanks - I have seen many so-called estate sales that were just an ebay ploy to get items sold off. I am sorry that you got a bad item, Is there a chance that you can contact the sellers?

The father-in-law of a coworker was a well to do rancher. When he died they found twelve gold coins in his safe. I saw them, classic USA gold. They don't know where he got them, no records kept, but two coin shops confirmed they were all fake.

You would think that if counterfeiters go through great lengths to fake both coin and slab, you would think they go to the NGS website and copy the label accurately?
