Amazing finds! I had a $50 bank bag with close to 500 wheat cents a while ago, that was my best haul ever. Also some years ago had a $25 cent box with around 250 wheat cents.

I've been super lax in getting photos up. Getting onboarded in academic research is a lot of work. Shown below in order: finds from first roll, then a roll with 38 finds, and finally the growing pile after the first several rolls.

Pound_foolish, you could try using Verdi-Care to remove the corrosion, on the 1950 D.

E&V, great suggestion. Worth a shot. The absolute craziest factoid in our overall nickel hunts? TWO 39D this past summer TWO 50D in about 2 WEEKS and ZERO 44D The stats make no sense to me and as a scientist who deals with bioinformatics on a daily basis, I've come to the conclusion that chaos reigns supreme! &

I visited the same bank two days ago and picked up $60 in CWR. It's in a slightly less suburban area farther west of my usual banks and as luck would have, those 30 rolls contained another collection dump. I will post up photos soon but there were among these rolls 3 V nickels including an 1883 no cents and an 1884, three Buffalos, three proofs, so many BU mid 60s to early 70s, and every non-silver 1938-1959 Jefferson except 1950 P, 1950 D. Only two war nicks - 1943 P and 1944 P which means we STILL have not found the elusive 1944 D for our primary book but we eclipsed 280 finds in 30 rolls.with upgrades for primary and secondary albums and the 1938 D and S we needed for the secondary album. Gonna have to expand our catchment area to get these more often!

Went through $80 in mixed MWR and CWR with the usual occasional olds, then one CWR gave up these two nickels separated by only 4 coins.a 1910 V nickel and 1925 S buff!
