I can't accept that this is circulation damage

That is fine, but you are here asking for our opinions. Let me see if I can change your mind. First, there is no way for this to have happened in the minting process: since these t-shaped impressions are incuse, it would have required that someone at the mint stick a few letter Ts on top of the die when then cent was struck. Additionally, at the margins of the letter Ts, you can see where the metal has been "smushed" up--that cannot happen with a strike through. Finally, a diagnostic of mechanical damage like this is matching flattening on the other side of the coin, which this clearly displays.

Save it if you want, but know that it is only worth face value.

Since you are a moderator, I'm sure you know your coins and you have changed my mind.

Agree with all above--post-strike damage and some 'interesting' counterpunches. I'd keep it as a fun curiosity.

Crazy looking cent, but as stated above, this coin was intentionally damaged.

CobaltCoin63,
Why would you believe one moderator over another?

yeah, have to agree with the rest here, this didn't happen at the mint.

Oh, and just because he (she?) is a Moderator don't necessarily mean that they know anything about coins, but is very good at moderating stuff..

I know way more about coins than moderating the forum.

It seems someone has been inadvertently offended. Getting off topic. Move on with this one.

It looks to me like the coin was laid on a rough hard surface, like asphalt or concrete, then counter-stamped three times with T.
