Because of the obverse, I was originally thinking lam but am wondering if this coin spent some time in the ground.

No offense makecents but that is not a dirt coin. I've pulled a lot of LWCs from below and to me, there are no indications given the photos.

@Bigstepper: that angle shots really don't help at all (unless you are trying to show the edge) If you are trying to get an edge on image then it would be better to get it 'square on' and a bit closer. We need images that are taken from directly above with good lighting and focus. Also larger images will greatly help us see your coin better. (I usually make mine to be at 600 pixels square.)

Now onto the coin - I'm going to go with a lamination on both sides. Seeing how they are in a straight line, I think that the alloy mixture was not fully homogenized when it was extruded into the large flat copper plated .

These are the same images with a larger file size. I used the email trick. Does this look better or no improvement? Tryingto figure this out. Does it look like a pre Cud on the reverse?

I still say that the large 'divots on the reverse are laminations, just like the one on the obverse.
Notice how they are at the same angle on both sides.

Thanks Dearborn. What are your thoughts on the reverse on the other wheat stall? Does it look like a Cud? The overall planchet is thin and light so it could be a side effect of a .05" thin planchet.

a Cud? No not a Cud. They will always involve the rim and be taller than it.

I was thinking a Pre-Cud because the obverse is weak opposing it. Thanks again.
