Just picked up my first 2023 proof and dear Lord these are nice. I'm going to be on the prowl now for a 2024. Absolutely incredible cameo and frosting. Also have both reverse proof sets but they aren't as striking. Are all the proofs DCAM or did I just find a really nice one?

Yes, pretty much. They are spectacular! Price aside, the Morgan and Peace dollars have been a win for the mint (and they have not had many).

I jumped back into collecting a couple years ago and have been getting the Morgan and Peace dollars from the US Mint. Noticing the mintage limits, I thought I was buying into exclusivity. I know the reverse Proof sets are sold out and may be desirable going forward, but I see they still have the 2024 dollars available. I would have thought that with such a "low" mintage, they would have been gobbled up. For the price they're "now" charging, I reduced my subscription to 1 of each vs. the 3 I was signed up for. There's lots of savvy collectors on this forum and I'm wonder what your thoughts are on collecting these going forward. There's slabbed older Morgan and Peace dollars available for less than the current cost of the new ones. Fill me in.

yeah, I don't see much demand for these, to be honest, and the fact that the 2024s are still available kind of reinforces that. I bought 2 of each of the innaugural 2021 series thinking I'd keep one set and flip the other to help offset the keeper set. The local coin shops weren't interested in even making me an offer, knowing that I'd want to at least recoup my expenses. So, I'm sitting on those and opted out of the series. That's just my experience; I honestly haven't checked ebay/market sales data in a while; I could be totally wrong on it. Mabye it's time to look again and see if I can free up a little safe space.
