Thanks Disco fever And to Westernsky: could be, anything is possible - I rarely lose out on a ebay auction. but it happens. (I too am a last second bidder - I don't like to drive up the price no other reason to be the highest bidder) I just sit back and watch it closely. I'm back to searching for another very high grade 1932-D again. I have been looking for over a year now. There are a few coins I'm looking for in high MS grades at the moment: (in no particular order) 1909-S VDB Lincoln Cent1932-D Washington quarter1913-S Buffalo nickel

You still have a great collection. This may have been all for the better. I would like to see mine in person, if I was going to pay that much. I have our first coin show in a long time coming up in our city. I'm saving up to see if the rarer coins I need will be there..

Thanks JK! - I wish I could see a high grade coin in hand before a purchase, but what are the chances a LCS would have one?

Saturn... be sure and post additional pictures of the coin if/when you receive it (or before you return it). Thx!

Simple question remains - why is an apparent "gem" like this not in a major TPG holder for very little cost? At $915 it sold for less for less than a decent slabbed MS example but for more than a nice slabbed AU coin, so given his commission, what do you think this huge ebay seller actually paid for it? My guess is a doctored photo, with field/bust marks and wear washed out. The negative feedback figures are revealing but not surprisingly low - most buyers don't know they've been had, and those that return their purchases are generally reluctant to take on the daunting process of leaving negative feedback on ebay. In my long experience, Great Southern Coins is a dishonest dealer that does not serve the hobby well. I say this carefully with full consideration.

I was referring more to the aftermath of leaving negative feedbback - often angry replies, being blocked from future bidding, etc. Perhaps you have not had any unpleasant experiences, but I have.

I've only heard bad things about this dealer (mainly from this forum) & mainly about doctored photos. I have never purchased from this seller but from the feedback that wasnt removed or edited (worth mentioning an astounding 182 revised feedback Ouch) I personally wouldnt do business with them.
I've been collecting for a couple years... Favorite Coin's are Standing Liberty quarters, Working on my type set | Coffee, Corvettes, Coins & the CCF what could be better?

You dodged a bullet on this one.
Those guys mess with their images.
This quarter is over dipped, that I am sure of just from the photos.

Dearborn I wish I had the money to out bid you on that coin. I have long sought after to own the 32 D and S Washington quarters. Like I said mine were not of high quality. GreatCollections auctions has several nice 32-D on the auction block with a day or so left. MS63 and MS64+.
