Some pretty coins. I like how they describe those MS-67/68 coins as "near mint" or "excellent condition".

The headlines almost suggest that these could be found in pocket change, but all the listings are for the highest sale price of the item, not for anything under high mint state.

Crazy how some of the Monticello details are muted but because the steps are bold in a rare year, boom!

A lot of incredible grade rarities and errors, thanks for sharing!

Some of the claims in that article seem dubious at best.

Interesting read. You are never going to find any of those coins in change although the article hints to it.
That 1953-S FS example is otherwise a mushy strike coin.

I've lost faith in PCGS being able to distinguish what a Full Step coin is.

NGC seems to edge them out in this designation. Several on that list strike me as tremendous bargains (for those fortunate enough with disposable income) when looking over the upper graded specimens. Thanks for sharing that!

I have to admit, I do not understand how this could happen as described and get these results.

Love those 5 steps. Lately I have been trying to put a few of them away for the future. I believe they will be more valuable. Most of the coin shows in my area I go to they are very very few 5 or 6 steps nickels. It is like they are drying up. If you wait and watch you can pick up a few of them for a great price. I am slowly watching and collecting.
