Just for reference, how much extra did it cost to get the variety recognized?

After digging around to find more info on the "Minor Variety" on the label, not that it personally makes much of a difference to me, however, it is there to clarify that there is a die variety present, but it will need at least 5x magnification to see. I agree, we still have a long way to go and I will continue to document and publish doubled die varieties for the benefit of future variety collectors, even if I have to pave the way one slab at a time. Doubled die varieties that I think will grade MS63+, I will consider sending them to be graded and attributed, one of the main reasons I sent in the 1955 10C was because I thought it might have a shot at MS66. Congratulations on the payoff for your efforts. It's a pretty big deal to get a coin variety attributed with a major grading company. Maybe some day soon they will be attributing Canadian varieties by referencing your book, the same way U.S. coins receive Fivaz-Stanton numbers from the Cherrypicker's Guide.

Just an update, I managed to find a second high grade 1955 10C DDO off ebay, now there are 2 known examples (previously only the one). I have some unused grading vouchers from PCGS after upgrading my account so I may send this one in, although it will likely only grade MS63 possibly MS64 due to the bag marks in front of the Queen's face. Happy hunting!
