I'm not the expert here, but my vote is legit. Color looks like genuine toning to be. Very well could have been coin on top of coin, hence the untoned bit on the obverse and the untoned reverse
If you would, please post the reverse

I have been going back and forth myself since I got it I just was thrown off by the darkness even though I know that they can be dark like this and then the perfect shape made sense for another coin but also made me suspicious haha but then it also has the full cartwheel effect like it has not been cleaned just didn't have anyone to bounce it off of until now

I would say natural - this coin was sitting in the open air with another dollar coin (probably a Morgan too), the 'other Morgan protected this coin (shiny part) while the silver tarnished to this black color (a common thing for silver to do when not covered). You should see my silver teas service set before I have to polish it..

If you look closely, you can seethe rough edges probably caused by the reeded edge of another coin too.
