If I recall correctly, the NIFC years are 2002+ for Philadelphia and 2001+ for Denver. I could be wrong about 2001 and which mint, but for 2002+ for certain.

Nope NIFC didnt start until the 2001-P's I believe (2001-D's are not). I might have them reversed, but 2001 was the first year of the business strikes not being intended for circulation.

Quote: PCGS list them at $6 for MS60 and $4 for MS 40
Supposedly for PCGS graded coins only. Probably meant XF40. Yeah, I'd say buy the rolls and hold on to them for some time, then, you should have a pretty decent profit from each unwrapped roll

Skunked again....some low-life came in yesterday and bought all the halves they had. But I did open a savings account, inquire into a safety deposit box, and chat w/ the head teller....who is ordering $1000 in halves from the fed on Thursday, which will be here Monday next. I also discovered they have a change machine in the back which rolls all the loose change customers bring in. Which would explain why I'm seeing so few new coins (except 2008 cents, of course)from the rolls I purchase there.

Why take the NIFCs & run? I don't see any significant premium for the in the guides. Are they really worth grabbing ?

Worst case scenario, you could exchange them for goods and services.

Not intended for Circulation, which means they have extremely low mintages.
Take the example of 2008's D halves, which I think... only had 3 million minted.
