really cool one TB and seeing how well the obverse is struck up, do you think that it de-lamed after the strike?

Thanks for all the kind words! And yes, it is after the strike, but when looking at the coin there appears to be some weakness on the rim around LIBERTY, and missing rim there on the reverse, so it seems likely that particular area was lost before the strike. I have a few more interesting lams I'll try and get to posting.

Very interesting. Two points to ponder.

1. The weak rim around LI on obverse. May suggest a bit of missing material on reverse B/4 strike. The rest fell out after strike.

2. The straight line running through STATEs. Lam's often run in a seemingly straight line, but this seems to be a precise straight line. Thanks, Doug.

Edit: While I was typing, I see TB and I see similar result concerning number one.

I like all the contortions to the metal on the reverse.
