The guesses so far have corresponded with the photographs provided. These newer photos should be of more help in your evaluation.

I am between AU-53 and 55, but I think this makes a solid 53.

EEK I knew PCGS was gracious on this series so I considered 55. 58 is a stretch and surprising CAC approved as well. I recently handled a near complete Seated dollar set and saw a lot of over graded stuff. Have to be extra cautious and patient with a series as tough as Seated dollars.

dont agree with this grade. there even appears to be a scratch through the shield. all kind of scratches across the dress. missing luster. I just don't see it.

Generous overgrade IMO. And CAC to boot!

58 seems generous. The first set of images had me concerned about reverse PVC damage. It's in an old holder so that's not likely with the later CAC approval. I'd be okay with 55. This is a $4,000 piece. CAC said they'd pay that for it by putting their sticker on it.

About the time I start to think I understand CAC something like this show up and reminds me that I have no idea.

I certainly understand the guesses as you do not have the advantage of having the coin in hand as PCGS & CAC had. Obviously some photos are better to work with than others. In my experience PCGS and NGC are quite forgiving on this series, NGC much more than PCGS. Anyone who collects this series or Liberty Seated coinage in general is well aware of how tough CAC is. Here are a couple more shots with different lighting. Described in the auction catalog as: Deep dove-gray walnut-brown and steel blue-toning.

That looks so much better as the first photos gave it a greyish old cleaning look.
