Ya, I'd say a dip is worth a go. Maybe diluted as an initial test to see if it lifts any of that black with a quick in and out.

that is some heavy tarnish that may not come off with a standard acetone soak. This being a bullion in my eyes, a dip or gentle silver polish won't hurt.

I'm in the minority I know, but I like that toning...it's even across the coin and not to dark. I would keep it as a pocket piece and see how it pans out in a year or two in my pocket.
