I'll say 64 for this one. Very attractive coin with few marks.

I think this one has a shot at a 64.

Is that not wear on the high hair and cap areas and on the wing edges?
Then it should be AU58?
Or is that just photo illusion and not wear? I don't have much experience with frosty Morgan's, so I'm asking to learn.
Thanks

good question

one thing to consider here is that if the coin was circulated and the areas you noted were from that, it would be highly unlikely that the coin would not have any marks anywhere on the surfaces. I do see some very light marks on the cheek which could be just from being in contact with other coins. I'm not sure these photos accurately show what the coin looks like in hand.

taking a second look at this one and assuming the photos are a good representation of the coin in hand I'm seeing a coin that the luster is broken on both sides. the surfaces do not look original. I think what you are seeing is just rub and not from circulation but keep in mind the surfaces we see may not be accurate. the coin could have been lightly dipped as well.

the only way to tell for sure is to get new photos with less lighting. however I've been looking at some slabbed silver dollars that were graded details cleaned and found several with surfaces that look like this one. I'm revising my grade to UNC Details (cleaned)

@panzaldi, I have the coin in hand and it looks different for sure. It looks like hairlines on the reverse to me, but only in a certain light.

ICG is a good slabber to mine for bargains. They aren't dishonest like the basement slabbers but are just mediocre graders meaning sometimes they overgrade and sometimes they undergrade. One of the few slabbers where I think you can still find a $3000 coin for $500 based on an incorrect grade but you have to be sure you have return privileges because in hand these coins can have issues.

can you post a new photo of the full obv?

the reverse is looking like it had a light dip but need to see the full obv photo to see the fields better. the blowup of the obv is showing what looks like just die polish lines but I need to see the rest

new obv photo not the best but it is showing that the area in the left field is at the minimum missing its luster. sorry I can't get more detailed than that. the holder is not helping

just using your sharpest photo of the reverse the coin does look dipped and the obv has broken luster.

at best MS62 at worst UNC details

A slider. 63 is fair.

CACG would almost certainly put this one at 58.
