Genuine, the head looks funny because there used to be a hole there. The hole was plugged and the head re-engraved.

yep, saw the head engraving after a plug repair, bit of a shoddy piece of work, but the coin appears real.

The edge will reveal to you whether it's a Genuine U.S. Mint product or Fake, just about every single time

What's distinct between the edge of Mint coins and counterfeit coins then?

jacrispies: haaa haaa good one ... I was implying that I have yet to see a fake Seated/Trade Dollar that has successfully imitated US Mint milling; Navincitron usually the suspect edge in inset, no flow, and the tops are as squared as are the bases-there is no 'flaring'. Plus, the wear factors are not present
