Wait, are you saying there's a way to do all the formatting without having to manually type in all the [i] and [b] and [url] and [img] tags?
Geez, kids today are so spoiled, everything has to be handed to them on a plate...

Let's go back further and post messages using IBM punch cards. Find a nearby computer center with an IBM punch machine. Build a card deck for a message post, and submit the job overnight...

Spoiled kids? Geroff me lawn! Heh. I manually edit some tags anyway, to make use of the advanced parameters that aren't included in the basic default version.

Quote: Now to do a quote you only have to type the tags... Honestly... that will save some time! Thanks!

Back around '91 or so I learned to write my own HTML, because all the tags were so similar to VMS Script (am I dating myself?). These tags are no problem!

The thing that would help - and I know I could write it - would be a highlight, copy & paste that added the q tags.

one thing I noticed today as I was replying to a post and accidentally let my brain go on cruise control for the closing tag, the tags have to match. You can't do "q" and "/quote" (which is what I did) or "quote" and "/q". Gotta be quote /quote or q /q.
