It should come back F-12....that's what I'm thinking.

I have been trying to make this one a 15 for 20 minutes but think it is coming back 12. I have one at VF-20 graded by PCGS. Have been going back and forth between them. It would be disappointing but 10 is possible.
Sure wish I had collectors in my family, Thad. Best of luck.

I am new to Lincoln cents. But from all that I have seen and read to date, my best guess would be F-12. Hurray for other people's grandfathers!

Has nice solid rims and still fair amount of detail on the stalks. I will go F-12 as well. It's a nice looking coin. Wished I had had a grandpa that nice who collected coins. Mine only collected full whiskey bottles and emptied them, usually that same day. Lol.

Checked online, I think they were a bit rough, but at least it graded! This coin had a little light verdigris on it, I used VERDI-GONE™ before submitting. Another VERDI-GONE™ coin passed through a TPG! See the spot just behind the shoulder? That WAS green before I conserved the coin. VG-8

Besides some lettering fading into rim and some overall wear associated with the grade, I do believe they were slightly conservative as well. Rims are strong. Nice Thad and yes, at least it's encapsulated :-)

Well, 10 would not have surprised me but 8........conservative for sure. Still, a great coin and and now ready to upgrade. Jim

Quote: ...I do believe they were slightly conservative... I agree. They were a little tough on this one but at least it slabbed problem free. Congrats!

I have read several places that ANAC is very tuff. The question becomes would you want a VG8 from ANAC or a VG10 or VG 12 from someone else? I think I would like the VG8 since I know it was really gone over and held to a high standard.
Still a nice coin!!
