Looks like damage ( PMD) to me as well, on the rims. Out of curiosity, what's the weight of your coin? The weakness has me wondering if it was struck on a Rolled Thin Planchet.

Guys I don't have as much knowledge as you do, but are you sure is damaged? "We trust" is not there and you can see weakness at the reverse as well.

Nice find. Grease was on the die when struck, that is why some letters are missing or weak.

No expert here and I agree there is some PMD but I'm not certain its all PMD. Weakness on the reverse corresponds with the affected areas on the obverse. Weight of the coin would be nice to know.

At first I thought it was obvious PMD, but I now see an argument for some type of defective planchet, as well. It doesn't appear to be bulging or out of round in the positive and I can plainly see tapered rims in multiple locations. with Seeker that an accurate weight of this coin to 1/100 gram would be invaluable in determining what happened.

Given the condition shown in the posted pics and the possibility of a tapered planchet, value could fall in the 25 cent to 1 dollar range.

Tapered planchet possibly, but still damaged.

I'm glad to know that there's an error in this coin, even if the value is low is always fun to find something like this.
Thank you Errers for the link!!

People always look for those cents worth thousands thanks to Tiktok. But you need to look at it this way, a cent that sells for $1 sold for 100x its face value and that's not bad at all. Its much easier to find a whole of cents worth $1 than it is to find one worth $1000.

I highly doubt anything I have is worth the big money but it's cool to be able to share stuff with ppl who know way more about it than I do.
