Errers and Varietys Thanks again, Thank Mr. Diamond for me.
This is a new error for me so I will definitely put it in a 2x2. Can someone give me a ballpark on value? Thanks.

Hard to put a dollar amount on this one. Cracked plating is not super common but you would have to find someone that was looking for it. The coin is not in that great of shape either, so that not in your favor. I would say a few bucks at best. Your welcome for giving you the answer early on....

makecents - Thanks for the response. Yes, you did say cracked plating early on.
I did find this on value of cracked plating penny.
Cracked plating of a penny can be valuable depending on the degree of plate that is missing. Some errors, such as a split platting error, can be worth between $10 and $20. Die break coins can be worth $100 or more.

Yours has just a small spot that has lost its plating and the condition of the coin is not good. A few bucks at most in my opinion, and worthy of a cardboard 2x2, as many of my finds have found a home.

That is a cool error but imo isn't worth much of a premium.
