There are a few A-to-D in the mix, maybe some denticle varieties...

I like them.Where did you get the rolls of cents and nickels? What did they cost you?How did you know they were original and unsearched? John1

John1: the 1949 cents were in a Whitman plastic tube meant for US cents. The tube was sealed with old, yellowed, dried-out medical tape. The Nickels are in paper tubes stamped "1961C" from The Cleveland Trust Co., packed by Abbot Coin Counter Co., Inc. of NY. Or, maybe Cleveland packed them in paper supplied by Abbot...the coins are pretty nice.

Out of curiosity, was the tube so tight you could barely get the coins out? I bought of early 1950s rolls like that off ebay maybe 10 to 15 years ago. Also with odd tape at the ends. I wonder if this came from that sale--the person had hundreds of rolls.

Smallcentguy: Canadian cents had a higher rim, so a roll of 50 in an old Whitman US cent tube leaves one-and-a-half of them above the top. The circumference of the tube didn't shrink, but that happened when the tubes were exposed to a hot environment: attic, car trunk, etc

Very nice roll - if you don't mind me asking, how much did you pay for the roll?
