Liberty "V" Nickels?

The 1913 will set you back a few million $s. Most people would consider the set complete without this coin. I think the Barber dime (1894-S) set and this set are among the most difficult sets because of these famous rarities. That's where coin collecting crosses over to insanity.

The 1885 and 1886 are the most expensive being about $250 each (in G4), the 1912S is about $150 in G4+.

If you don't want to do the set, you can pick up Mint State Coins and do a type set.

Very nice. Yeah, I wouldn't mind doing the set at all. I just hate the thought of having blank spots lol

I believe the implication was someone obtaining an example through less than legal means.

Humanist1287 - you never know, you might get one in circulation! I spent one in a transit ticket machine in Orlando (a cull 1892 with an attempted piercing) in December 2021 - I wonder what's happened to it?
