I've been having the same issues as well. It seems fine right now though.

Edit: it just happened again.

It's a thousand-page topic. I warned of this years ago about large topics. You have no idea what processing a topic like that entails. I cannot increase the timeout because of a few ridiculously large topics.

I tried to shut down large topics in the past and had a large mutiny on my hands so I said screw it and let it go.

Now here we are. This will be me putting my foot down, the ridiculously large topics will have to end. I guess I'll set my alarm for like 3 am to see if I can get it to load then and split it.

But hey, whaddoo I know.

Most big ones. I have not had it happen on any others.

You 20Q people should have taken the hint from GTP by breaking it up into seasons.

It's all our fault. Let me talk to the boys.

Bobby, what's the easy fix?

Methinks 20Q is probably the longest thread in the whole of the CCF...
I wondered what we would think about splitting this into large sections approximately 1000+ pages each, and could refer back to the older sections at will?

Nothing against limiting long threads.
"Guess the Price" also restarts every season.

Is this about 20Q or Numismatic Go Fish? Or something else?

I'm worried about the How Far Back series, personally; IIRC the 6th edition went on for over 400 pages, while the 8th edition is at 220 pages already only halfway through the 20th century and would probably be approaching 400 before it enters the 19th, but splitting those within a thread would be very awkward - each edition is essentially its own full season.

(I'd have given exact numbers, but at the moment I can't even open the Main Coin Forum itself without getting the "nothing to see here" error.)

I just submitted a ticket for a server reboot. Takes about 3 minutes to reboot when they do it.
