Please let me know how to PM. I thought e-mail was PM. I wrote to you in swedish but I don't think that should matter? Or will some sort of spamfilter kick in if not in english?

Denkan has gratiously ceeded his 2nd spot in the competition so that another ccfer will get an opportunity to get some Swedish coins in their pocket. So this means that Petespockets will receive a little assortment of coins

Congrats on chalking up the victory Jason39305 and to Denkan's runner up finish.
What a nice surprise. Thank you Moniker (and Denkan). I will enjoy adding those Swedish coins to my collection.
(My apologies for the delayed response as things have been a little hectic.)

I received the prize from Moniker today. Four beautiful silver coins. 1 krone and 2 kroner, 10 ore and 25 ore. Also included were some other 20th century Swedish coins including an iron coin. I don't have too many coins with thay composition. The 2 kroner commemorates the 300th annuversity of the New Sweden settlement in America in current day Delaware. The reverse is nice, and I'll post a pic of it tomorrow. Thanks Moniker for the contest and your generosity!

nice to se they arrived safe and sound. Yes the iron "öres" are oddities and quite nice imho. Thanks for participating in the contest The ship featured in the 2 kronor is Kalmar nyckel, there is a replica in the usa. She did four voyages to the delaware settlement, a truly remarkable thing in that time, with a little bit of luck you guys could have all talked swedish now :)

The prizes arrived safe and sound late last week. The coins spanned 3 centuries from1898 to 2005! Thank you very much. Some truly impressive coins in the group. One question about them that Numista didn't clarify: there appears to be two proofs in the group but Numista said these coins were all circulation strikes. Did some of them come from commemorative sets? I'm also tickled pink that there are three varieties in the group! The 1947 1 Ore (iron) had a very nice unabraded clash. (This one is in very nice shape for being iron.) The 1949 1 Krona (.400 silver) also had an unabraded cash. (This also appears to be one of the three types of known varieties, the "9 over 9") The 1979 1 Krona (CuNi clad) is a DDR. The doubling is evident towards the center of the coin, on the upper two crowns on the shield. Thanks again for the fun contest, the coins, and the bonus image of the Arora borealis. PP55

Wow great pics, and nice to see they arrived safe. I think atleast the 79 krona and 50 öre 2000 [lovely design] and the 2005 krona is breakouts from smssets. Which ones do you believe are proofs? The 1949 is one of 5 bought fresh from a roll. I havent checked them for varietes, it pleases me that there are some varities in the lot. The 1949 are around ms63-65 I think Great picture of the iron öre clash, they are interesting and beautiful coins. Your microscope makes great pics. I must check my other ones now for clashes The 1938 2kronor is a commem

SMS set make sense why I thought some might be Proof stikes. The 2005 1 Krona has a nice cameo appearance to it. The 2000 50 Ore has nice, mirrored fields. The 1979 1Krona, while its very nice, I hadn't thought of it as a proof. I noticed the clash on the 1949 1 Krona because I was admiring how well struck it is. (It's interesting that this coin has three varieties for the 9 of the date according to Numista.) Because US coins are struck with the dies in coin alignment, I had to adjust my automatic mode of lining up the clash marks since your Swedish coins are struck in medal alignment. Thanks again and I hope you have some more beautiful aurora borealis light shows this year. ps. No microscope was used for these images. My phone by itself for most of the images. The closeups were done with a simple clip-on macro lens to the phone. With the screen so small on the phone, I usually take lots of images so I can pick and choose which ever ones show it the best.

Well the medal aligment is true, I started with morgans and was troubled when I saw medalaligned die polishing lines on some of the first swedish coins, I thought it was from cleaning Macro lens I must check in to that better pictures than with my 20 dollar microscope Yes the new krona is nice handpicked.its great it found a good home. The iron coins are fun, some of the older ones was made from melted canons. I wonder if its rust on the bottom one The northern lights never gets boring
