Agreed, need 2 decimals but even with that weight will not tell us much. Specs are 2.5 with variance of .1 = 2.4 to 2.6. With Zn of 97.5% and Cu of 2.5% (Cu has slightly more mass than Zn) you would still never be able to tell - from weight - if it was plated over copper or the copper was stripped.

Mid-range XRF can read up to 50 microns and with plating (at least the garden variety) only be able to lay down 2-5 microns, any TPG could figure it out in a heartbeat. So I return to my prior comment, if you rotate at an angle under light, can you see any flashes of copper. If so, some ebay hack laid down a coat of Zn in their basement and tried to pass it off as one of those "Rare Error Coins"

Wow are you guys funny, educational, but funny I like the way you explain things I understood what everybody was saying. the weight thing was interesting .I can see how it mixes together. I just took these new pics. Looks like a hit but you can also see copper under there. What do we make of this?

Well I have taken the cent, put it under light and move it around and it looks like there's traces a copper but then again I'm no expert I got to find what's going on with this , its driving me nuts
