Just finished proofing Articles #8 and #9. Article #8 should be available on the RCNA website by the end of the month. #9 will be in the January/February edition. These two articles finish my discussion of the 1882-H cents. On to 1884 cents in the March edition. All the past articles are available on the RCNA website. Not sure when folks will see the paper Journals. Between rotating strikes and talk of stopping home deliveries, things seem fairly up in the air still.

And it's a great article on the 1882's. Great job, Rob!

Thanks, Bill. I hope folks are enjoying the articles.
Right now, I think that a total of 21 or 22 articles will take us through 1901, so the series should run until September or October 2027. As I said in the first article, I am not trying to present every minor variety, but I do want to include the major ones and some minor ones that I find particularly interesting.

The tenth Uncommon Cents article is now posted in the members section of the RCNA website. After several articles about the Heaton cents of 1876 to 1882, we now move on to The Royal Mint cents of 1884 and 1886.

I can't wait for mine to arrive ... I prefer the paper pages, rather than computer screen. Again, thanks for these, Rob!

Understand that many prefer the paper Journals. I do also. I will point out however that the photos are clearer in the online version, and they can be enlarged.

The eleventh Uncommon Cents article is now posted in the members section of the RCNA website. This article highlights an 1887 and an 1888 cent that are two of the finest surviving Victorian cents still existing. There is definitely something amazing about 138-year-old bronze cents that look like they were struck yesterday.

I can't wait, Rob for the mag to get to me this month. As always it will be a great read to fill in, or help me remember, some of the salient facts of those denomination. I loaned you some of my coins for the latest work and they always come back to me covered with words. Really looking forward to it.

Again, Rob has delivered a great article, this time on the Canadian 1890 large cent, as part of his "Uncommon Cents" monthly articles in the Canadian Numismatic Journal. This is the 12th article on beginning and follow-thru of the Canada Victoria large cents. The CNJ has them monthly as a mag or from their website that has all articles goin back decades. The photography is outstanding.

I must say that I read your various articles in each new issue of the CNJ with great interest. They're really interesting.
I'm sorry if my English isn't perfect... I'm learning a little more every day.

Thanks, guys. I have really liked writing the articles and am glad you enjoy them. It also gives me a chance to share my collection, which usually just sits in the bank vault.
