Yup, looks like a legit error to me also, as a partial clad loss as Dearborn says above. This does carry some value to error collectors probably to the tune of a few dollars to tens of dollars perhaps...

Yess! Well done @girl. This one is worth saving in a 2x2.

Nice find! And for a coin thats been in circulation for 60 years, its in pretty decent shape.

THE WEIGHT!!!! I FORGOT!!!

It weighs 2.1 grams.
Seeing as I am in desperate need....where could I sell this? Sorry I just have no idea. I've never had a coin actually worth anything even if not much lol

Agreed, looks like a legitimate partial missing clad layer.

Your local coin shop will purchase it, likely for a few dollars.

ebay is perhaps your best bet to reach a wider audience.

That's pretty cool I actually have something worth more than face value AND an actual error! It's the small things in life lol
You say best possible price.... but I have NO idea what that even is for this dime.
Thank you all for the help!

Nice find. As far as a premium, I'd say $10.00 to $15.00. I wish it was in better shape.
