PCGS has the value for an MS-65+ RD example at $51,500. The Eagle Eye PhotoSeal and CAC stickers might help this awesome coin exceed even that amount. Regarding that 1856 Flying Eagle on Hibid: lack of certification is a red flag. When a key date like this is offered raw there is usually a reason. Some kind of "altered surface" problem wouldn't surprise me.

Thanks for the heads up, guys. Not that I would have been a bidder on that 1856. I have pretty much stopped buying coins I cannot see in-hand. There is far too much monkey business affecting collectibles hobbies nowadays. Very discouraging, especially for those with limited knowledge or a tendency to be overly trusting. Unfortunately this trend shows no signs of slowing down.
