Interesting but my only question is if it is an upside down S variety, how come it hasn't been hasn't been discovered in the last 78 years. There would have to have been hundreds of thousands struck from that die.

Oh I agree and all I did was take pics to ask it it looked funny and then Loose the coin in my office somewhere hahaha

thank you as I am still torn as I just see an upside down S. Here in a few I am going to upload all (33) 1947 S mints well just the S's as I was curious about the flatten comment this way I was able to compare to others I have.
