It's a C-1, so it doesn't appear to be a die issue there. Likely some minor damage, but I don't think enough to warrant a details grade.

I agree in the die, but actually false dies. The coin is one of the deceptive struck counterfeits still out there and passing as genuine. The TPG is aware.

Thanks for making us aware of this counterfeit. My first impression was that it was a nice genuine coin. I appreciate the sharp eyes of those who weed out these fake coins. It requires a lot of study of the genuine articles to spot something like this. Good work!

Wow, that is a really good counterfeit. Are there any other markers other than the damage at the A to indicate this is a fake?

Image is of a raw one on the Bay last week; I did actually purchase both!

I went back and looked Zurie and the "dot" does show in other examples.
