Quote: But I wouldn't be surprised if someone on there charged that amount for ONE whole album. Lol. I would not either, especially a 7070.

Stuff like this is all over ebay. These unscrupulous sellers think if they dress up a common coin's description and make it sound like it's rare, they can fool an unsuspecting person into buying it for an outrageous price. "Choice Very Good 2016 Lincoln Cent from a huge unsearched estate lot. Minted in historical Philadelphia, this coin has no mintmark, unlike its slightly rarer Denver counterpart. The 4.7 billion mintage means that very few were saved in this condition. The 2.5% copper content alone makes this coin an incredible investment for those who deal in precious metals and think long term. Lincoln cents will soon no longer be minted which makes this coin a worthy expenditure and a true rarity for the future. Bid now and reserve your place in history!" [Note: the above is a listing I made up. Sorry if I disappointed you. ]

One of the categories that I keep an eye on is bicentennial quarters. I would say that (conservatively) about 95% of the listings for ordinary 1976 quarters are $50-3000. You can buy a pristine uncirculated example in the mint cello for $3 and free shipping. I think most of the listings are by idiots, but we've had some interesting discussions here about whether some of those items represent money laundering or stand-ins for illegal goods.
