Thank you jbuck. I need to go through the rest of the album to see what other goodies might be in it.

Any photos of the RTY in LIBERTY? That's the area where the doubling seems to be strongest on DDO-007.

I do see the light doubling on the L, but it is important to make sure all of the doubling does match. The die cracks in these areas are fairly common on 1940's quarters, I wouldn't rely too heavily on them to confirm a match.

Tanman.. Now I'm kind of second guessing. Going back and looking at the "L" in Liberty it sure does look like the marker and the top of "B" in Liberty looks like a light spread but I can't really call it on the "T" and "Y". I consider you the expert and will humbly accept your opinion. By the way, I don't have a stash..just a Dansco that I completed nearly 30 years ago. Thanks again for all the comments

Dearborn.. I agree about the ear, but didn't want to muddy the water.

Iis the ear doubled as well?

Actually I think Dearborn might have figured it out.

Check out DDO-004: http://www.varietyvista.com/09a%20W...3DDDO004.htm

You may have accidentally found a CherryPickers' Guide variety! Die cracks and doubling match. The VV photos for Stage B show some very slight Class II doubling on LIBERTY which is overshadowed by the doubling on the ear, hair, and face, and is left unnoticed.

Same variety that Willburton posted the other day. Strong doubling on the ear to the back of the head, very nice find, congrats!
