Washington Quarter Series 1932-1998

Ah! My bad! Looking at one of those Dansco vendor websites, I mistook it for 9 pages. It is 8. The regular business strike album is 7.

Yeah. I mean, honestly, that's not bad at all. I was trying to start a simple collection. But, why not all go all in and just go with proofs, too? Many of the proofs, especially the clad ones, are very reasonably priced. I mean, 5 bucks and under. And realistically, I can take my time and add these whenever I want and at my own pace. I really want to get my hands on some quarter rolls, so I can find some for the album. Obviously, they will be circulated and 1965 or newer.

I am curious to how difficult it will be to price/find some of the older silver coins pre-1965. I wonder if some coin dealers near me might have them in some kind of junk silver stash. My intention is definitely not going BU with this album. That would be costly.

I sent them an email yesterday about all this and they never responded.
They never mentioned in the listening using stock photos. The 2x2's look awful due to them TAPING the darn things inside to paper that it was enclosed in. Like, really? I've never seen anyone else do that, at least not that clumsily.

There aren't returns and I wouldn't really want to screw around with something that cost me under 4 dollars total, but it's just the point of it all... Seems lazy, improperly packaged and picked considering they sent me the wrong coin.




Thanks, jbuck. Honestly, the 32-D and 32-S still don't even seem that bad. There seems to be a ton on ebay that are reasonably priced, in the 60 dollar-ish range.

My only fear is the cost to purchase many of the older silver coins, regardless of key date or not. Many of them it seems can be had for under 10 dollars on ebay. However... That's a lot of money still. Lol.

This is why I kind of wanted to buy a blank quarter album, and build a dedicated clad Washington set from 1965 with clad proofs. However, the only company that currently sells a blank quarter album is Whitman and I don't really want to go that route for something I'm going to be swapping in and out a lot of since I will upgrade coins when I find better ones from circulation.

I think what I will do is work on the clad coins, including proofs first. Then I'll start working on the older ones. I'm hoping I can find find some in junk silver.

AH! Ikes. Honestly, I'm not sure. I thought about doing a simple "business strike collection," but it turns out there are still silver coins in that set. I'd love to build an Ike clad set. But, there doesn't seem to be much way of getting around silver coins one way or another, so I might as well do the whole set eventually.

Just.. not right now. They did have a Dansco Ike album used for only 25 bucks on ebay recently. Sadly I was too slow getting to it.

You should always go all-in with an Ike set. It is just not the same without the silver or proofs in it.

If you get any rolls to roll hunt are you going to set aside the 1999-date ones as well. I'm not trying to make you get more albums but since you're going through them anyway
