i think I might have to work on this picture thing.
I have been in the process of documenting all of my coins in pix, and on a database. Not a small task by any means. All of my pictures, when in jpg format, seem to be over 100kb.
I may need some help to figure out how to knock them down to get them on here.

To post large photos easily and without reducing the size, get a free account at photobucket.com and upload the photos there. After you've uploaded the photos, you'll see "link options." Copy the one that says "IMG Code" and post it here.

That is an amazing key. Love it. Was it early in the purchasing order or late?

Congratulations! EF is very very challenging for this series. I'm currently at F or better on all except 72 and 76 and I have given up upgrading anymore as it is too expensive.

I started collecting the set in 1997. I bought this coin in 2001, so it was pretty early on.

Now that is a beautiful coin that I hope to own one day. I started collecting my IHC collection about a year ago and feel great to have just over half of it in lower conditions.

Congratulations on a very tough set, what with 09-S and the 1877 and 1872 (and 64L). Would you post a pic of your 1909-S to satisfy my voyeuristic curiosity? We were going to make an offer on a 1877 in G8 but declined as to price.
Wonderful accomplishment, good luck with the LC's!

Quote: We were going to make an offer on a 1877 in G8 but declined as to price. The official NGC price guide lists an 1877 in G4 for $930 and a VG8 for $1,100. What was the price that you declined?

A lot less than 930 ;) but we are resellers and like to get and sell material at a good price. It was at auction and we had a target price that was exceeded. Again, I'm not permitted to say too much about us here due to my low post count, but I can't wait to get to the 'magic number' because we'll make a lot of collectors happy. Sellers, auctioneers and local dealers, not so happy lol. The piece was authenticated and a smooth problem free coin. We didn't want to tie up all that money in one coin just yet before we reduce our stock.
Best
Bruce
EDIT: Does anyone else find the NGC and PCGS price guide prices a bit inflated or is it just me?

Quote: Yes. I think most people would agree that their listed prices are high. That is true for many coins but key dates like that 1877 IHC are sometimes undervalued, especially for strong strikes with good eye appeal.
