But, the failure—whether through planning or negligence—does make for a good excuse.

One that few people believe now.
They are short about 600 million ounces for December delivery, with Shanghai Metals Exchange and LBMA vaults almost empty. Where will they get the metal?

Promises can only go so far.

A brief dip below $58 and hovering along the line again. We will have to wait for $60.

They have been pulling games since the Hunt Brothers. I would not be surprised by anything they do now. They are fighting for their financial lives because the paper game is over.

The chicken has come home to roost roast.

Fixed that for ya.

Mainstream media channels beginning to talk about silver now. Even the grandmas and pop-pops at Thanksgiving were talking about it. It feels very bubbly. I watched a CNBC clip today where they claimed that a great harvest in India propelled the silver price higher. That reminds me of a podcast I watched a couple decades ago, where a hedge fund guy talked about how the media tries to narrate the world events of the day onto market moves. I agree with what you guys said above, rapid market moves in commodoties markets, absent any clear driving events, seems much more like a short squeeze or contracts trading among big players.

Maybe the chickens aren't roosting or roasting. Perhaps a grand game of Chicken is being played out in real time. Exciting days!

I never thought I'd say this, but I'm beginning to wish I bought at $80

I do, too. At least all the "overpriced" silver I bought from the Mint in the last ten years is looking good.

Speaking of which, this stupid thing is now finally officially worth what I originally paid for it after 13 years:

Silver-Stubornly-Stays-Above-$50 Silver-Stubornly-Stays-Above-$50 Silver-Stubornly-Stays-Above-$50

Not quite the investment I had in mind when I bought it, but still...

Looking at my spreadsheets, every bit I silver I have ever bought from the Mint is now worth more than what I paid (not accounting for inflation).

I feel a little bit better about paying those inflated prices now!
