The cracked out photos show the color to be washed out a bit. The slab photo shows the color to be a nice chocolate brown. Which is closer to the truth?
yeah, the it has to do with the lighting, the Slabbed color is much more accurate. I use a small screwdriver to tilt the slab to reduce the glare from the lighting so the coin can be seen better, while once a coin is removed, it lays flat and gets a bit more light reflecting back to the camera. If you look closely behind the top of the slabbed image, you will see this screwdriver propping it up a tiny bit.
