Helpful tip #1....Ebay Bucks Program was 2% "Cash Back" so to speak, on your purchase price on every qualifying item. That was the Base Percentage. They would periodically run specials of 2X, 3X, etc that would last for a couple of days. Later the Base Percentage was dropped to 1% and then 0% (with the claim that they would run special events where you could get
ebay Bucks...I don't ever remember seeing one of those)..I DID receive
ebay Bucks with this purchase that is the contest.
Helpful tip #2 .....
https://goccf.com/t/313048 Don't bother looking at every page (unless you just want to). The subject of this contest is NOT in there......Remember, if you have already made your guess (or guesses as permitted by contest rules) you will have a chance to change/submit a new guess, or guesses between Feb 5th and 8th forum time.
Helpful Tip #3....The 44 set run of proof sets cost me less than the value of the prize pack being offered.
Helpful Tip #4...Net Cost (C) falls between the two previous low guesses of $58.80 and $145.00.
QUICK RECAP....9 1/2 years ago I purchased this complete run of proof sets from 1968 thru 2011. Your mission is to guess what my net cost of this collection was There was NO tax paid. I am looking for A-B=C
A=price paid including shipping, B=
ebay Bucks received, C= net cost. A correct entry will look similar to this: $1000.00 -$20.00 = $980.00 (example only).
Anybody that comes within $5 (higher or lower) of the correct net cost "C", will advance to the elimination round where closest to "B" will be the winner, (and "A" if need be as a tiebreaker). If by chance nobody hits the target zone again, the closest will be deemed the winner.
